1. Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, subscribe to our service, or communicate with us.

• Account Information: Email address, name, and password (hashed).
• SMS Information: If you opt-in to SMS alerts, we collect your mobile phone number and your messaging consent. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or SMS messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
• Payment Information: We use Stripe for payments. We do not store your full credit card information on our servers.
• Usage Data: Information about how you use our website, including your notification preferences and search history.
• Security & Anti-Abuse Data: When you create an account, we record the IP address of the sign-up request. We use it solely to detect and prevent fraud and duplicate free accounts. It is never sold or shared for marketing.
• Analytics (only with your consent): If you click Accept on our banner, we load Google Analytics to measure page views. It never loads on sign-in, billing, account or dashboard pages, and you can change your choice any time from "Privacy Choices" in the footer. If you decline, no analytics script loads.
• How You Found Us: When you first visit, we keep a small cookie (jn_src, 90 days) on your device with the invite code or campaign tag in the link you followed, the website that sent you, and the first page you saw. If you sign up, we save it to your account so we can credit the person who invited you and see which posts and pages bring people in. It never leaves our servers. If you decline analytics, we keep only the invite code.
• Service Providers That Receive Data: Cloudflare (Turnstile bot check at signup), Google (sign-in with Google, and Analytics if you accept), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS), and CARTO (map tiles, which receive your IP address when you view a map). Photos you upload are checked by an automated moderation model before they are shown.
• Age: Junkyard Notify is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has an account, contact support and we will delete it.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Service.
• Process transactions and send related information, including confirmations and invoices.
• Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.
• Send you notifications about vehicle arrivals matching your alerts.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and duplicate-account activity.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in/consent data to any third parties for their own marketing. This is a first-party messaging program.

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information in the following situations:

• Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (e.g., Stripe for payments, potential email providers). This expressly excludes your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in/consent data, which are never shared with these vendors for their own marketing purposes.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with state and federal laws.

4. Data Security

Junkyard Notify, LLC takes reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access. We use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for data transmission.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings. If you wish to delete your account completely, use the delete option in Settings or contact support.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of the policy and, in some cases, we may provide you with additional notice (such as adding a statement to our homepage or sending you a notification).
