Junkyard Notify uses a double-opt-in mechanism to ensure users explicitly consent to receiving SMS alerts. Users can only enable SMS notifications within their secure dashboard following these steps:
Logged-in users visit the "Settings" page in their dashboard.
User enters their 10-digit US phone number.
User clicks "Send Code" after reviewing the explicit SMS consent disclosure.
